EMERALD is focused on comprehensive study
“synthesis–structure–properties–potential application” and organized in 4 Work Packages (WP) and tasks.
Work packages are interconnected

List of work packages
WP0. Management
Managements are continuous to guarantee the administrative and financial management of the project.
WP1. Selection the bath compositions for highly efficient alloys electrodeposition
The perspective elaborated compositions will be used in WP2,3&4.
WP2. Electrodeposition of magnetic alloys
The perspective Re-alloys will be used in WP4.
Task 2.1. Electrodeposition of soft magnetic alloys
The bath developed in WP1 will be optimised to use for Fe-Re, Co-Re and Fe-Co-Re with Re<35 at.%.
Task 2.2. Electrodeposition of hard magnetic alloys
To obtain optimal deposits of Re alloys (<30 at.%) from baths developed in WP1.
Task 2.3. Magnetic-field-assisted electrochemical synthesis
The obtained perspective films will be used in WP4.
Task 2.4. Synthesis in the ultrasonic bath
Re-alloys will be synthesized from baths developed in WP1 under forced hydrodynamic conditions and ultrasound field.
WP3. Electrodeposition of electrocatalytic materials (ECM)
The obtained perspective films will be used in WP4.
Task 3.1. Electrocatalytic materials for HER
Re-alloys (Re>35 at.%) will be electrodeposited from from baths, developed WP1.
Task 3.2. Electrocatalytic materials for ethanol/methanol oxidation
Re-alloys will be deposited from bath, developed WP1 at constant magnetic field and without it.
Task 3.3. Magnetic-field-assisted electrochemical synthesis
Re-alloys will be deposited from bath, developed in WP1, in a constant magnetic field and without it.
Task 3.4. Synthesis in the ultrasonic bath
The alloys of rhenium will be deposited from the baths developed in WP1 under forced hydrodynamic conditions
WP4. Determination of intrinsic and extrinsic properties of nanostructures
Task 4.1. The structure, corrosion and thermal stability of obtained alloys
Task 4.2. Magnetic properties of obtained alloys
Task 4.3. Electrocatalytic properties of obtained alloys
The electrocatalytic behaviour of alloys for H2 evolution and oxidation of ethanol/methanol with intention to apply in fuel cells will be studied.
